Your map: upload ANY map to MakkaMappa for FREE.
Once you have registered for FREE on the website, you can upload any image and turn it into a map with our simple online tool. This process connects your map image with the real world area it represents. It takes just a few minutes and we have lots of helpful resources incase you get stuck.
Your information: add exactly the information you want onto the map.
You can add descriptions of places of interest on your map, and choose graphical icons to represent them. Soon, we will also include textual labels and routes. Your items can be grouped into overlays, and turned on and off as desired. For example, a city map might have overlays for hotels, coffee shops, bus stops and so on.
Our app: download the map to your phone and share it with others.
The MakkaMappa app is the mobile viewer for your map. Using the app, you can download your map to your own phone, or you can share the map with others so that they can use it. You and they can look at the maps wherever you are – once downloaded, no internet connection is needed, unlike other mapping apps.
On location: current location is shown on the map with access to your information.
If you are located in the area covered by your map, the MakkaMappa app will show your current location on the map. All the information you included when you uploaded the map is available at the tap of a finger. Remember, no internet connection is required.
